Document Actions
Help has arrived for parents and childcares who want to choose environments that are safe, healthy, and free of chemicals of concern.
The Eco-Healthy Childcare program ensures that childcare settings are as environmentally healthy as possible. Click here for a current list of providers located throughout the country.
Childcare facilities qualify as “Eco-Healthy” by completing a checklist that highlights 25 simple steps that ensure a safe place for children. Eco-Healthy childcares commit to reducing a child's exposure to toxics and other environmental health hazards. Click here to request a checklist or for tips on how to go Eco-Healthy.
Childcare facilities that qualify receive a placard and poster that let parents and others know of their efforts, and demonstrates their commitment to being eco-healthy. For more information read about some of our qualified providers.
Thanks to generous support from the Cedar Tree Foundation, this program is now available to childcares throughout the nation! Check out the national and state organizations that are helping us grow.
